Can you still use computer memory if your motherboard has fried?

Mother board is fried.I was told I couldn’t use the memory from the old computer to put in another computer. Any one know if this is true?

    If it is undamaged and it fits in the slots on the other motherboard then yes you can use it.

    Plug it in and try, at worst it just won’t work and you can pull it back out.

    It may be possible that the RAM didn’t sustain much damage. Try plugging it into another computer with the same RAM type and see if it shows up under my computer or Task Manager.

    It depends on how old the memory is. Your current RAM modules may or may not work in a new motherboard. If you can read the information off the RAM chip, go to the manufacturer’s website - they will tell you what motherboards will support it.
