How to regain computer memory that was taken from Virtual Disk error?

I was making a virtual disk in Vista Basic (i **** it) and it became unresponsive, so I had to end the task with the Task Manager. Before I had 11 GB, but now I am missing a whopping 10 GB!!! How do I solve of this computer all-timers, because i just might as well format my drive. Thanx!
