How really advisable to keep updating anti software on low memory computer?

Everyone says we should keep updating our anti virus software on regular basis but how advisable to do it on low memory computer?I haven’t heard if they are saying something about low memory computer and still want them to update their anti virus software?

    I would do it, especially if you have a Windows PC considering how quickly new viruses can be created. The low memory shouldn’t be an issue, unless you have the scanner on 24/7. Then I could see a possible problem. How much memory are we talking about here?

    Easiest thing to do? Just go get more memory! Its not that expensive.
