I know how much memory I have [2 Gigabytes]. However, I’m curious how this 2 Gigabytes is broken down per memory chip [2 chips with 1G each?]. Also, I’m curious how much space I have to potentially add more memory.

Is there a way to determine this within Windows XP, without having to pop the computer open? (I couldn’t find anything in System Properties that gave this info.)

The easiest way is to go to the start menu
Right click on My computer
Go down to Properties and left click
This will tell you your type of precessor and how much memory (RAM) your computer has.
Hope this helps
