How can I look into my computer memory to bring up things that have been visited?

One of my daughters friends recently got her email password, and sent other friends some very nasty emails from her email account. The parent wanted to call the police on my 10 year old for sending such durogatory emails. She did not do it and I am searching a couple of peoples computers to prove it. My daughter was up to bed and my computer was off. Can someone please help me..
Thank you

you can look under history or if they deleted it you can also look in the recycle bin.

Firstly the computers memory does not store the information you are looking for.
The information will be stored on the hard drive and even if it has been deleted it is possible to to recover it.
The best thing to do if you have been threatened with the police is to email whoever hosts your daughters email, Hotmail, Yahoo etc. and ask them to investigate the source of the email.
Another thing you can do is to ask the recipients of that email to forward the email to you.
Once you got it you can click on the link at the top of the page that says “VIEW” then click on “SOURCE” this will tell you where the email originated and from which computer. Give this information to your email supplier or the police who will be able to trace the person responsible.

In IE, click on the sundial and sort by day. In FireFox click on history.
If you are certain your PC was turned off, you need to check it for spyware, as the username/password may have been hijacked and used for mailicious purposes. Do a search for AdAware and start from there.

    Good luck!

email the host of the email account like said above and ask for a log of ip addresses for recent loggins. then get the date and time of the messages that were sent to people that were derogatory. and simply match it up if the ip that was used at the time the emails were sent isnt yours then you can prove it with all the documentation you can also tell the parent who threatened with the police to go to hell becuase its an idle threat. as the police cant do anything about that. and if they did all the investigation would prove is that it wasnt your daughter since they would do exactly what i just said to do.
