1KiB = 1024B
1MiB = 1024KB
1GiB = 1024MB
1TiB = 1024GB
Except when the companies are talking. That’s why a 750GB drive only has 698.5 GiB
Note: there are two standards.
In one KB means 1024B and companies are lying.
And in the other KB is 1000KB and KiB is 1024KB.

XP 64 bit superior edition is absolutely amazing.

You really don’t need 4gb of ram either, for the simple fact that then u will have to buy a 64 bit OS to address it all.
If you can find a license of WIndows XP pro 32 then buy it. Great OS. I’ve been running 2gb with another gig of video ram for a year now and i can alt tab out of any high res video game or application no problem.
But what they hay, RAM is cheap go for 8gb lol.

I can’t believe anyone in their right mind would ever endorse Vista. It’s the biggest hog OS i’ve ever seen and yes you will need 4gb of RAM to run it properly. It really ***** that there is no other choice for new PC buyers.
64 bit OS’s are great but there isn’t any software that uses them to potential yet. Right now when you run your old programs on a 64 machine it is emulating a 32 bit environment. 64 isn’t bad but you might increase you’re chances of having incompatibilities.

u shud upgrade to windows xp x64 sp2 version its a lot better in my opinion as it even runs games forms the 1990’s to the highest end games u name it
once a game didnt run in x64 and i hacked the install file that just proves that xp is completly customisable and expendable so still windows xp rules over even windows 7 and vista although windows 7 is really exellent xp still in my opinion is better as it has low system requirements and it supports the maximum so ur getting all ups no downs

Vista Home Premium can support 16GB of RAM.
Vista Business/Ultimate can support 128GB of RAM.
and 2 to the power of 64 is 16EB not 16TB.

which is more important in terms of memory: speed or quantity?
meaning, is it better to have 2GB of PC2-8500 or 4GB of PC2-6400
